ST. Paul Master Plan - our field of dreams

St. Paul Catholic Church campus expansion program

Our campus expansion program is underway! Our logo appears below look for it on T-shirts and polo shirts worn by many parishioners at parish events. You, too, can own a T-shirt or polo shirt with this logo representing our campus expansion program. Shirts will be available for purchase. Watch your Sunday bulletins for information or call the office at 381-5200!

Phase I, the parking lot expansion program, is nearing completion. It is on time, on budget, and we are blessed to be able to pay for this phase out of our savings. Phase II, the construction of our Religious Education Center, is next.

As you know, finding a parking spot at any of our Masses can be inconvenient. During special events such as our Festival and during scheduled CFF classes parking becomes much more than an inconvenience. It becomes a safety issue. The safety of our children and other parishioners is paramount and for that reason a plan was submitted to the Bishop for approval.

The parking improvement plan, as approved, will:

  • add 180 new parking spaces.

  • resurface all existing parking spaces, and

  • improve the pedestrian traffic flow to the church via paved walkways.

The plan has been approved. Work on the parking improvements is expected to cost $550,000. Work on both of these projects should be completed in one year.

Future Events

Registered parishioners will continue to receive special pink collection envelopes in the mail in which they may place donations toward the capitol funding drive pending the launching of our official Fund Drive.  It is hoped that each family will use these envelopes on a monthly basis to help us reach our financial goals for this expansion. If you are not currently registered but attend St. Paul Parish, we urge you to register by filling out a registration form (found at the entrances of the church) and dropping it in the collection basket. If you attend church at St. Paul Parish you are a parishioner and one of us. This is your church. Please read Father Rey's personal message to you. You will need a PDF reader to read the file. If the file does not open immediately, you may need to adjust your browser to allow blocked content. If your computer does not  have a PDF reader you can download a free one from  .

The second phase of campus improvements will include:

  • removing the WWII-surplus property buildings now used as the rectory and office,

  • removing the old Parish Hall (where the White Elephant Sale is held), and the portable structures,

  • construction of a new rectory, office, and education center.

It is estimated that the overall cost of the campus expansion project will be in the range of  $8 million.  It is expected that these new buildings will be in place in 5 to 7 years. It is required that we have 40% of the expected costs, in the bank, before we can begin construction.

Our first parish meeting to discuss the specifics of the religious education center will be scheduled in 2007.

An architectural rendering of the proposed plan is available for viewing in PDF format. You will need a PDF reader to read the files. If your computer does not have a PDF reader you can download a free one from .
