The TRUNK and TREAT last Sunday was well attended by quite a number of parishioners bringing their vehicles and decorating them for the event. A good number of kids also came with their parents to join the fun. Even if it was only the first time that we did it in St. Paul, it was a good turnout.
Cars were beautifully decorated according to the ingenuity and creativity of the parishioners. No one had the same style. Kids had their baskets, canisters and bags filled with a variety of candies generously given by our parishioners from their vehicles.
The Nativity Scene decorated vehicle won the contest. The little lady dressed as a Blessed Virgin Mary won the costume contest. The judges were hard up deciding for the winners because all the entries for the vehicles and the costumes were all nicely chosen, done and very pleasing.
Seeing this as a success, we will do it again next year in the bigger parking lot.
We, therefore, thank all our participants in the event: our parishioners who brought their vehicles and decorated them for the occasion. We greatly admire their patience for putting their vehicles in a short time. We thank all the families who participated and brought their kids to the event. It was a fun Sunday afternoon with good weather and the atmosphere of St. Paul family spirit.
