MASSES DURING BAD WEATHER
We are doing our best to celebrate the Holy Mass with you outdoors even if it is cold. We are doing well as of the moment. We appreciate your patience and endurance. These are all the challenges that we face during these hard times. We offer them all to God that He may strengthen us. With HOPE as the theme of Advent, we will never give up. By the grace of God we can make it as long as we hold on to our faith.
With that being said, we continue to celebrate the Holy Mass with you whenever we can. In case of bad weather or it rains, we cannot do the usual schedule of outdoor masses. There is a revised schedule, a PLAN B, in case we have such situations where we cannot avoid the force of nature. Kindly check the MASS TIMES in our Parish Website and read the instructions in cases of inclement weather.
Plan B
In Cases of Inclement Weather (Rain) Instructions
Please be advised that understandably if it rains we will have no OUTDOOR masses.
WHEN IT RAINS...
*On Saturday - 4:00 PM Mass will be cancelled
*On Sunday - the Masses will be cancelled.
Instead we will only have 2 livestream masses in the church: Sunday: 9:00 AM English (livestream) and 11:00 AM Spanish (livestream).
Only ten (10) people are allowed in the church: celebrant, ministers and livestream operators ONLY.
You can watch the livestream masses from the comfort of your home on your TV, computer, ipad, or smart phone.
If you want to receive Holy Communion, you may drive to St. Paul and park preferably in the South parking lot (between the Church and Hall). Watch the livestream mass on your device.
After the final blessing, we will come out to you in your parked car to offer you Holy Communion. If you want to receive the host, kindly step out of your car so Father or EEM can properly offer it to you.
Then you may go safely home. As you leave, drive safely for there will be others receiving communion.

September 27, 2020 Dear Parishioners:
“In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” -Proverbs 3:6 “Write the vision and make it plain so that the person who reads it may run.” -Habakkuk 2:2
“Ask in faith without wavering.” -James 1:6
“Faith without work is dead.” -James 2:26
The mission statement and goals of St. Paul parish guide us in meeting the needs of our parish community. The Scripture readings above all model ways to meet our goals: to ask for God’s guidance; to write them down to provide focus; to trust that God will provide what we need; and after doing this spiritual work – to roll up our sleeves and do the physical work.
This financial report reflects the work the parish has done to stay true to our mission statement and to meet our goals during the 2020 Fiscal Year (July 2019 through June 2020).
Regarding our budget for Fiscal Year 2021 (July 2020 through June 2021) scripture tells us:
“Which of you wishing to construct a tower does not first sit down and calculate the cost to see if there is enough for its completion? Otherwise, after laying the foundation and finding himself unable to finish the work the onlookers should laugh at him and say, ‘This one began to build but did not have the resources to finish.’” ‒Luke 14:28―30
Luke reminds us that Jesus called his followers to be aware of the total commitment which would be demanded of them and the necessity of thoughtful planning.
Those same teachings are relevant to us today as parishioners of this parish. We are also called to “sit down and calculate the cost to see if there is enough,” and that is what we have done in preparing the budget for the 2021 Fiscal Year. The budget for fiscal year 2021 reflects the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on all of us. We pray for all who suffer through this pandemic and long for the day when this scourge will be lifted.
As we begin the new fiscal year let’s remember that our support in our weekly offerings, in our service to others, and in all our contributions of time, talent, and treasure, no matter how great or small, are our expressions of thankfulness to God. Let us always be generous to one another for God is generous to us every day.
I applaud you and thank you for your offerings of commitment, participation, prayers, and contributions. May you be blessed for what we, with God’s help and grace, have accomplished during this fiscal year.
God bless us all!

27 septiembre 2020 Queridos Feligreses:

SAINT ROSE PHILIPPINE DUCHESNE (1769‐1852)
November 18
Pope Benedict once declared himself struck by how remarkably diverse our American saints are—some native born: Mother Seton, Katherine Drexel, Kateri Tekakwitha; most, like many Catholics today, immigrants: Padre Ser- ra, Bishop Neumann, Mother Cabrini, Rose Philippine Duchesne. When the French Revolution that dispersed her convent ended, Rose joined the Religious of the Sa- cred Heart, volunteering for their United States mission, opening the first free school west of the Mississippi. Only after lengthy service as Superior did Rose—now seventy- one—realize her life’s dream, undertaking a mission among the Potawatomi Indians. When some worried about her advanced age and failing health, the Jesuit mis- sion leader overruled them: “She must come! She may not be able to do much work, but she’ll bring the mission success by praying for us!” Frustrated by her inability to learn their languages, Rose nevertheless “spoke” to the Native Americans by her prayerful presence before the tabernacle. “Quah-kah-ka-num-ad,” they named her, “Woman-Who-Prays-Always”—their way of bestowing the title the Church would later make official: saint!
A NEW DAY DAWNS
Today we hear how Jonah, sent by God to warn the people, storms through the streets of Nineveh, scaring the citizens out of their wits. And it works! God has a change of heart, seeing “by their actions” how the people turn from evil (Jonah 3:10). A new day dawns.
Next we hear Paul telling the Corinthians, “The world in its present form is passing away” (1 Corinthians 7:31). He calls for a change of heart. Stopping short of telling them to stop carrying out their everyday activities, he urges them rather mysteriously to live “as though” they aren’t doing the things they are doing. A new day has dawned.
Finally, Jesus stands on the shore and cries, “The kingdom of God is at hand!” (Mark 1:14). Simon and Andrew abandon their nets and even their father and follow him. A new day had dawned.
Everyone has to change when a new day dawns: the Ninevites, the Corinthians, the apostles, even Jesus! Didn’t a new day dawn today for us as well?
